Build AI agents for real freight forwarding work.

Nexcade is a London team building AI agents for freight forwarders. We’re looking for people who want to work close to customers, understand freight properly and help build the future of global trade.

Who we are.

Nexcade started in London in 2025, when Dan Bailey and Tasho Kjosev came together around a shared belief: the people who keep global trade moving deserve much better tools.

Dan had seen the problem up close as COO at Sedna. Critical freight work was still happening across inboxes, spreadsheets and disconnected systems, held together by the experience of individual operators.

Tasho had spent his career building software for complex, high-stakes environments, most recently as a technical lead at Palantir, following earlier AI and data work at Oracle Labs, Meta and Unlikely AI.

Nexcade brings those worlds together: deep supply chain experience and serious technical ambition. We build AI agents that work alongside freight teams, taking on repeatable work while people stay in control of the decisions that matter.

We announced our $6M Seed, led by Project A, in July 2026. We’ve raised $8.5M since founding, with backing from Connect Ventures, MMC Ventures and logistics operators.

We’re still early. The people joining now won’t inherit a finished playbook. They’ll help shape the product, the company and the way agents fit into freight forwarding work.

What we do.

Freight forwarders sit in the middle of global trade. They coordinate customers, carriers, agents, warehouses and customs teams, often under real time pressure.

A quote is rarely just a quote. A customer might send a request with missing dimensions. The relevant rate might be in a carrier portal. The latest surcharge might be in a spreadsheet. The customer’s usual preference might be buried in an old email. The operator still needs to answer quickly, price correctly and protect margin.

Nexcade agents help with the work around that decision.

They read requests, extract shipment details, compare rates, follow up with suppliers, draft replies, prepare quotes, update tenders and create bookings. People stay in control of the important decisions.

Every customer does this work slightly differently. The product has to handle incomplete requests, changing rates, customer rules and the systems teams already use. That is what makes it worth building.

From the founders

A note from Dan and Tasho.

Nexcade started with a simple belief: the people moving goods around the world deserve better tools.

Freight forwarding is detailed work. It depends on customer context, supplier responses, operating systems and judgement built over years. We believe AI can help, but only if it is built close to the teams doing the work.

We’re building a team with high standards and strong learning velocity. If you care about building AI that helps keep global trade moving, we’d love to hear from you.

From the team

Working at Nexcade.

We’re all very close to the customers and our product. You spend time with people who really know freight, then bring that context back into what we build. It means the work stays practical, and you can see the impact of small product decisions very quickly.
May Fell · GTM & Operations
Deployment here is about helping shape the product. You can be looking at a customer workflow in the morning, finding the gap in the data or connector, and by the afternoon working with engineering on how we make it better for the next customer.
Nabeel Alarakhia · Deployment
As an engineer, you get a lot of ownership very quickly. You’re doing more than picking up tickets from a roadmap someone else has fully decided. You’re close to the customer problem, you make technical calls, and you’re trusted to care about the quality of what goes out.
Alejandro Pérez Gancedo · Engineering
Freight gives you engineering problems that look simple at first, then keep unfolding. A quote can depend on old emails, customer rules, rate sources, supplier replies and the TMS. Making an agent reason through that reliably is technically challenging in a way I find really motivating.

How we work

High ownership. High pace. Close to the work.

We are building a technical company where everyone contributes, works directly with customers and helps improve how the team operates.

01

Everybody builds.

Founders included. The whole company is technical and runs on coding agents, whether you work in engineering or the commercial team.

02

Take extreme ownership.

Problems are yours end to end. If something is broken, unclear or missing, you have the freedom and responsibility to fix it.

03

Move with pace.

We prefer fast cycles and rapid iteration. We debate properly, decide quickly and keep momentum.

04

Stay close to customers.

We work with forwarders on live lanes and real documents. Product decisions come from that contact.

05

Learn quickly.

Freight is detailed and AI is changing fast. We need people who are curious, adaptable and quick to pick things up.

06

Be open and direct.

We communicate clearly, assume good intent and say the useful thing before small problems become bigger ones.
